LG OLED TV Sonos Arc Dolby Atmos problem (or not)
Indholdsfortegnelse
Introduction
I have a great LG CX 55″ OLED TV and I really really love it. I just purchased the first Sonos Dolby Atmos Sound Bar. Sonos Arc that are able to decode the Dolby Atmos through the eARC/ARC signal that comes via HDMI.
But when I tried to stream a movie via Netflix, Disney+ etc which apparently was Dolby Atmos the LG OLED Tv just stated Dolby Vision. I’ll show you how to check if your TV sends the correct Dolby Atmos signal to the Sonos Arc sound bar. Dolby Vision is the HDR picture processing which is a Dolby Labs tecnique for better picture control and light control during the movie. This has nothing to do with Dolby Atmos.
Setup LG OLED and the Sonos Arc
Connect the HDMI as stated by the manual from Sonos. The go setting on your LG TV.
Did this post help you?
I hope that you were able to use this small guide. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to find out how to solve the Dolby Vision that were displayed but not the Dolby Atmos. But found out that the signal was actually already passing through as it was supposed to.
